A delicate Liberty & Co nine carat gold and blister pearl necklace circa 1905, with applied tags stamped ‘L&Co’ and ‘9ct’. The central wire scroll panel is collet set with blister pearls and applied leaves, with blister pearl drop, flanked by two similar panels united by chain swags, the fancy-link trace chain with wire scroll clasp. The necklace is 16 inches long and immaculate. Light to wear at 6.2 grams. The necklace was purchased at Liberty by the vendor’s great grandfather as a gift for his wife-to-be on his return from the Great War.
