Je cheris la memoire

Fine quality French sentimental ring, circa 1820. The high carat gold shank supports a head set with a ground of red guilloche enamel surmounted by the motto in rose-cut diamonds, Je cheris la memoire – I cherish the memory. The plaque is within a surround of rose-cut diamonds with rose-cut diamond shoulders. The ring is size N [US 6 and 1/2] and the head of the ring measures1 and 1/4 inches by one inch. Unusual and immaculate.
