Homage to love

An imposing Georgian love token ring, circa 1800. The high carat gold tapering shank terminates in a head set with a ground of vibrant pink opaline glass. The ground is surmounted by two hearts on an altar of love, with a crown above. The hearts are set with a Burma ruby and natural fancy yellow diamond. The altar is set with two old-cut diamonds and the crown is set with rose-cut diamonds. The whole is in a surround of rose-cut diamonds set silver. The ring is size O [US 7] and can be sized. The head of the ring measures 1 and 1/4 inches by 3/4 of an inch. Fabulous quality, immaculate.
