Georgian rock crystal rivière

The quintessential Georgian rock crystal rivière, circa 1800. Rivière literally translates as  ‘river’, a seamless line of gems encircling the neck. The rivière is gold backed and set with large table-cut natural rock crystals [colourless quartz]in foiled, closed back settings. It is 15 5 inches long and each rock crystal measures 1/3 of an inch by 1/3 of an inch. Very fine quality, with the wonderful depth of refraction of natural rock crystal.
