Georgian diamond plaque ring

Sumptuous Georgian diamond plaque ring circa 1800. The high carat gold trifurcated and ribbed shank supports a plaque densely pavé-set with table-cut and rose-cut diamonds, all gems foiled and set silver. There are approximately 3.70 carats of diamonds in total and the reverse of the ring is decoratively engraved. The ring is size N [US 6 and 1/2] and the head of the ring measures 1 and 1/3 inches by 3/4 of an inch. Immaculate, with the lovely steely hue of Georgian diamonds.
