Georgian diamond plaque ring

Sumptuous Georgian rose-cut diamond plaque ring circa 1800. The high carat gold decoratively engraved shank supports a plaque pavé-set with big, chunky rose-cut diamonds, all gems foil backed and set silver. There are approximately 5 and 1/2 carats of rose diamonds in total. The ring is size O [US 7] and the head of the ring measures 1 and 1/3 inches by 3/4 of an inch. Very comfortable on the finger due to its curved shape, bright and immaculate. Utterly gorgeous thing.
