Eyes in the sky

A talismanic, protective 15 carat yellow gold fob seal, circa 1860. It is set with a bloodstone incised with three flaming eyes above the moon and clouds,  in reference to the all seeing eye and the Book of Revelation – ‘eyes like a flame of fire’. The fob is 3/4 of an inch tall and 2/3 of an inch wide across the intaglio. Fine quality and immaculate.
