Enamel serpent

A rather special coiled serpent ring, circa 1830. It is high carat gold and enamelled in powder blue, the colour symbolising trust and loyalty. The serpent has  a large old-cut diamond head and garnet eyes. The ring is hinged and articulated so it coils smoothly around the finger. It is size L [US 5 and 1/2], artfully constructed, sturdy and immaculate.
