Ref  NC1   Lalique Serpent Brooch

René Lalique moulded glass fanged serpent brooch, model number 1367, created in 1911. René Lalique is probably the best known French Art Nouveau jeweller, famous for his beautiful and highly collectable glass and glass jewels. He mounted the glass brooches in gilded metal, with foil behind the glass to reflect light. This colour is rare. The brooch is stamped Lalique to reverse. It measures 1 and 3/4 inches by 1 and 3/4 inches and is vibrant and immaculate.
