Ref  TS5  Henry Summers

An early 18th century mourning hoop with original skull device under crystal. The high carat gold shank is inscribed with the details of the deceased on a black enamel ground : Hen. Summers Obt. 13 Oct 1723 AET 67. The centre of the ring has a rayed comparment with a skull device on a ground of hair under a faceted crystal, flanked by diamond shoulders. The ring is size I and 1/2 [US 4 and 1/2] and the band is 1/8 of an inch wide. In completely original condition.
