Fine quality gold and enamel earrings, circa 1890. The left earring depicts young maidens with a sheaf of wheat and on the right earring they are clutching spring flowers, an allegory of love fresh in spring with bursting buds and renewed with the harvest. The enamel plaques are backed with mother of pearl. The earrings are 1 and 3/4 inches long and 3/4 of an inch wide. Immaculate condition.
