Ref  WM1   Georgian Plaque Ring

Fine quality 18th century plaque ring, circa 1790. The high carat gold shank supports a plaque set with a ground of royal blue guilloche enamel surmounted by a trellis of rose-cut diamonds, set silver, within a natural pearl surround. The reverse of the ring has a hair locket compartment under crystal with the gold initials FMC and the reverse gold work is decoratively pierced and engraved. The ring is size J [US 4 and 5/8] and the head of the ring measures 1.5 inches by one inch. Fine quality and immaculate.
