Ref  RU1  Turquoise Figa

A finely modelled Georgian amuletic figa pendant, circa 1820. The figa was an Italian apotropaic amulet of ancient origin used for protection against the jettatura [evil eye]. The gold and silver figa is pavé-set with Persian turquoise, a rose-cut diamond cuff and rose-cut diamond fingernails. It is 1 and 1/8 inches long and 1/3 of an in inch wide. In fitted case and immaculate.
