Ref  GB2  Birds of Paradise

Wonderfully exotic birds of paradise earrings, circa 1820, reminiscent of the fanciful wallpaper in the Royal Pavilion, Brighton. The high carat gold earrings are set with citrines and natural grey and white pearls. They depict birds of paradise at a fountain. All sections are articulated and the earrings have wonderful movement when on the ear. Original reverse ear fittings. They are 2.5 inches long and one inch wide at their widest point. Light on the ear, beautifully modelled and immaculate.
