Ref  CD3  Georgian Pinchbeck Chain

Georgian pinchbeck long chain, circa 1820. Pinchbeck, a non-tarnishing alloy of copper and zinc, was a popular medium for chains during the Georgian era. Here the textured belcher links are attached to a decoratively pierced barrel clasp. The chain is 30 inches long, the links are 1/4 inch wide and the clasp measures 3/4 of an inch by 2/3 of an inch. Immaculate.
