Ref  CW3  18th Century Girandoles

Rather fabulous 18th century paste girandole earrings, circa 1780. Silver foiled settings enclose colourless paste and magenta pink paste, in the girandole form of three pear-shaped drops suspended from bow elements. The earrings have their original reverse ear fittings. They are a particularly neat and wearable size - 1.5 inches long and 1 and 1/4 inches wide. The earrings are surprisingly light on the ear. In their original 18th century case and in immaculate condition. For similar, see page 27 in Scarisbrick's, Brilliant Impressions, An Exhibition of Antique Paste and Other Jewellery.
