Queen Anne aquamarine paste earrings

A rare pair of ‘Queen Anne’ earrings, circa 1740 – 1760. The earrings are gilt metal and set with vibrant, foiled aquamarine paste in dished settings with saw teethed setting edges. They have their original reverse fittings with attendant wig loops. The earrings are 1 and 1/3 inches long and 3/4 of an inch wide. Gloriously dazzling colour and in completely original condition.
