Stuart crystal betrothal ring

A fine quality Stuart crystal betrothal ring, circa 1700. The high carat gold shank has black enamel foliate engraving and the reverse of the ring is infilled with black and white enamel. The compartment is set with a ground of cerise pink foil, surmounted by two intertwined sets of gold wirework initials, under faceted rock crystal. The ring is size M [US 6] and the head of the ring measures 1/3 of an inch by 1/3 of an inch. In bright and immaculate condition.
