Stuart crystal skeleton pendant

An unusually large Stuart crystal pendant, circa 1680. The pendant is high carat gold and silver and contains a compartment with a tight weave of hair surmounted by an enamel skeleton clutching a bone and an hour glass, under faceted crystal. To either side of the skeleton are gold wire work initials BW and the age of death, AT 88. The compartment is within a surround of Scottish river pearls and the reverse of the pendant has botanical enamelling. The gold pendant fitting is later. The pendant measures 1 and 1/3 inches by 1 and 1 and 1/4 inches and is a most unusual example.
