Ref  GA2  King George II

A Royalist supporter's ring commemorating King George II, circa 1770 - 1780. George II [1683 - 1760], was King of Great Britain, Elector of Hanover and Prince-Elector of the Holy Roman Empire. The high carat gold shank contains a watercolour portrait of the monarch wearing a powdered wig en queue, a velvet robe with gold trim and a lace jabot. It is covered by a domed crystal. The ring is size J [US 4 and 5/8] and can be sized and the head of the ring measures one inch by 3/4 of an inch. The watercolour portrait is very well executed and the ring is fine quality and immaculate.
