Ref  BH1   Serpents

Fine quality high carat gold entwined serpent earrings, circa 1840. The bodies are cross-hatch engraved to resemble serpent scales and the heads are set with foiled table-cut rubies. Diamond-set hearts are suspended from the serpents' mouths. The wires are suspended from rose-cut diamond hoop, set silver. They are 2.5 inches long and 3/4 of an inch wide at their widest point. Light on the ear and immaculate.
