Ref  SM5  Georgian Chrysoprase and Diamond Ring

Pretty rose-cut diamond and chrysoprase cluster ring, circa 1830. The trifurcated and ribbed high carat gold shank suports a cluster head of gemstones, set silver, the diamonds in closed back settings and the central faceted chrysoprase in an open backed setting. Chrysoprase is the gemstone variety of the agate chalcedony. The ring is size J [US 4 and 5/8] and can be made larger but not smaller, and the cluster measures 2/3 of an inch by 2/3 of an inch. It sits nicely flat on the finger and is in immaculate condition.
