Ref  BF2  Barrett March Mourning Ring

Fine quality, high carat gold double-sided mourning ring, dated 1817. The obverse is set with an enamel plaque inscribed in gold lettering with the details of the deceased : Barrett March Esq. Ob. 14 September 1817 Ae. : 72. The obverse is set with a weave of hair in a glazed compartment, within a border of pearls. Barrett March Esquire was the Mayor of Henley-on-Thames. The ring is size L [US 5 and 1/2] and the swivel plaque measures 2/3 of an inch by 1/3 of an inch. Immaculate condition.
