Ref  ER3   Je Brule Sans Cesse

Rococo diamond giardinetti ring, circa 1760. These Rococo rings with asymmetrical openwork floral bezels reflected the mid-18th century taste for the light, elegant and graceful. This giardinetti ring is set with rose-cut and table-cut diamonds in closed back gold and silver settings. The scrolled gold hoop is inscribed with an evocative amatory motto : Je brule sans cesse  [I burn without end]. The ring is size M [US 6] and the gem-set giardinetti section measures 1/2 an inch by 2/3 of an inch. An original giardinetti ring in very wearable condition.
