Ref  CH3   Georgian Garnet Parure

Fine quality Georgian parure incorporating the pansy motif, circa 1820. The parure is comprised of a graduated riviere set with foiled and faceted almandine garnets in cut-down, closed back gold settings. The garnet and pearl pansy cross is detachable. The earrings are double drop pansies, set gold. The riviere is 16 inches long and the cross measures 1.5 inches by 1.5 inches. The pansy earrings are 1 and 1/2 inches long and 2/3 of an inch wide at their widest point. The parure is in its original Georgian fitted case and immaculate. It is illustrated on page 11 of Georgian Jewellery.
