Ref  CH2  Georgian Amethyst Riviere

The quintessential Georgian necklace, an amethyst riviere, circa 1800. Vibrant violet amethysts are set in foiled, cut-down, closed back high carat gold settings, to an integral amethyst clasp, creating a seamless line of  graduated stones enhancing the neck. The riviere is 19 inches long and the stones graduate in size from 2/3 of an inch by 1/2 an inch at the front to 1/3 of an inch by 1/4 of an inch at reverse. Timeless Georgian elegance, immaculate condition.
