Ref  KB1  Berlin Iron Necklace

Fine quality festooned Berlin iron necklace circa 1820. Neo-classical iron plaques depicting Caesars and Cupid astride a lion, symbolic of Amor vincit virtute [love conquers power], are suspended from Berlin chain made of tight coils of iron. The necklace has a typical Berlin hand clasp. It is 17 inches long and the central section of cupid and lion, including drops is 1 and 1/8 inches wide and 2.5 inches long. In absolutely immaculate condition.
