Ref  CD1  Bacchante

Fine quality Bull's Mouth shell carving in a 15 carat gold Etruscan revival pendant mount, circa 1870. The subject is a bacchante, follower of Bacchus, depicted with fruiting vines in her hair and wearing an animal pelt. The pendant is 4 inches in length from top of bale to bottom of central drop, and is 2 and 1/8 inches wide, and the cameo measures 1 and 3/4 inches by 1.5 inches. Fine high relief carving, immaculate condition. In fitted case from Tessiers of New Bond St.
