Ref  VA6  Kittens

Fine quality hand crafted 18 carat gold French brooch, circa 1900, with French assay marks. The brooch  depicts five playful golden kittens in a woven white gold basket. It is in its original fitted case from Hippolyte Martel, 4 Place de l'Opera, Paris. It is 1 and 2/3 inches wide and 3/4 of an inch tall. The brooch weighs a substantial 13.5 grams [there are 31.1 grams of gold to a Troy ounce]. Beautifully modelled and in immaculate condition.
