Ref NB7  Patience

Charming high carat gold brooch, circa 1910, set with a harlequin array of gemstones. In the acrostic manner, the first letters of the names of each each gem spell the word 'patience':

Peridot
Amethyst
Topaz
Iolite
Emerald
Nephrite
Cornelian
Emerald.

The brooch measures 2 inches by 1/4 of an inch and is in its original fitted case. Fine quality and in immaculate condition. [The fitted case helped to determine the age of the brooch, as London postcodes were changed from London W to London W1 etc. in 1915].
